The first half of The Great Stone War holds up stronger than the second half - I felt if Winds of Plague started developing less songs and more parts designed for crowd participation which can get repetitive and predictably boring. May be a tough sell with the ardent rivet mongers who like their metal untainted, but this album proves the group have talent and aren’t merely riding the same three chords to make a record.
