Universal is the eighth full-length album by the Norwegian metal band Borknagar. It marks the return of bassist Tyr and guitarist Jens Ryland. The band's former vocalist ICS Vortex performed vocals on the track My Domain. The album was intended to be released in the fall of 2009, but the release date was postponed as a result of a label decision. It was released on February 22, 2010 in four formats: a regular jewelcase CD, a limited digipack which includes a bonus disc, a CD box with extras, and a gatefold LP with double vinyl.
All Shall Fall is the eighth studio album by the Norwegian black metal band, Immortal. The album was released in the EU on September 25, 2009 and the US on October 6, 2009.
Quantos Possunt ad Satanitatem Trahunt is the eighth studio album by Norwegian black metal band Gorgoroth. It was released in October 2009 through Regain Records.
Infernus – founding member and guitarist of Gorgoroth – reportedly began work on this album in October 2006 and was first reported writing it when he was released on parole from prison in March 2007. However, the latter stages of the songwriting and much of the recording process would be overshadowed – at least as far as public attention was concerned – by the Gorgoroth name dispute which began in October 2007. Within two weeks of the ignition of the dispute, the album title was revealed to the public.
Axioma Ethica Odini is the eleventh album by Norwegian progressive black metal band Enslaved. It was released on September 27, 2010 via Indie Recordings in Europe and on September 28, 2010 via Nuclear Blast in North America.
Circle the Wagons is the fourteenth album by the Norwegian band Darkthrone. The album was released on 5 April 2010. Fenriz, the band's drummer, describes the music as Darkthrone's "own brand of heavy metal/speed metal-punk" and declares it a further shift from their old black metal style. About half of the album was written by Fenriz and half by Nocturno Culto.

Abrahadabra is the ninth studio album by Norwegian symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir. The first single from the album, "Gateways", was released on August 20 in Europe and August 24 in North America. On September 14 a video for "Gateways" was released featuring Djerv front-woman, Agnete Kjølsrud. On September 17. the song "Born Treacherous" was released on Dimmu Borgir's official myspace for streaming.
Tristania are not a band unaccustomed to line-up changes, but with the departure of Vibeke Stene whose unique ghostly vocals were such a vital aspect of the band’s sound, you had to worry about where they would go next. Using this opportunity to make numerous other personnel changes, most notably bringing in Kjetil Nordhus to continue the dual male/female vocal fireworks alongside Stene’s replacement Mariangela Demurtas, Rubicon sees the band galloping off in yet another direction with gusto.
If this track is anything to go by then this album will easily top their last three releases that were, in all fairness, pretty awful. Obviously Dimmu will still suffer from the knee-jerk torrents of hate from people who consider themselves above everyone else with their all-knowing selves intrinsically knowing this album to be awful, but if one can assess this track from an objective standpoint it’s very possible many people will find themselves enjoying what Gateways offers.
Belus is the seventh full-length album by the Norwegian black metal artist Burzum. The first studio album to be released after a near 11-year hiatus, it is expected to be released on March 8, 2010 via Byelobog Productions.
