Design Your Universe is the fourth full-length studio album by Dutch symphonic metal band Epica. It was released on October 16, 2009. This album continues the saga A New Age Dawns, which started on Consign to Oblivion.
If you dig ghost stories about dead pirates, fading ghost ships that hide in the mist and well, any of the bands I depth charged (i.e., name dropped), then by all means have a listen. Death Came Through a Phantom Ship might sink into you like the Titanic. Or perhaps it’ll just sting you like a stingray. Just don’t expect that much of the color ‘black’ when you snorkel in as Carach Angren is more The Addam’s Family theme song than Satan’s Final Sea Battle.
Abrahadabra is the ninth studio album by Norwegian symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir. The first single from the album, "Gateways", was released on August 20 in Europe and August 24 in North America. On September 14 a video for "Gateways" was released featuring Djerv front-woman, Agnete Kjølsrud. On September 17. the song "Born Treacherous" was released on Dimmu Borgir's official myspace for streaming.
7th Symphony is the seventh studio album by the Finnish cello metal band Apocalyptica. It was released on August 20, 2010 in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, August 23, 2010 in the rest of the world, and August 24, 2010 in the U.S. and Canada. Released three years after their previous album Worlds Collide, Apocalyptica has stayed with the tradition of having 4 tracks with featured vocalists, the remaining tracks are all instrumental. Dave Lombardo of Slayer is once again featured on drums, on the track entitled "2010". The first single "End of Me" with Gavin Rossdale of Bush on vocals, was premiered on Finnish Radio Ylex on June 7, 2010. It received radio play June 28, 2010, and its release date was on August 6, 2010 in Germany. The track "Bring Them to Light" was originally written for Worlds Collide, but both Duplantier and Apocalyptica were unhappy with the original, and so they decided to re-work the track, and re-record it for their next studio album.
If this track is anything to go by then this album will easily top their last three releases that were, in all fairness, pretty awful. Obviously Dimmu will still suffer from the knee-jerk torrents of hate from people who consider themselves above everyone else with their all-knowing selves intrinsically knowing this album to be awful, but if one can assess this track from an objective standpoint it’s very possible many people will find themselves enjoying what Gateways offers.
THY HASTUR's line up in 2004 comprised vocalist Mikolaj 'Argh' Lukasiewicz, guitarist / drummer Jerzy 'Mordor' Gorniak and synthesizer player Magdalena Kownacka. In 2004 they recorded their first self financed CD He Has Come.... In 2006 band recorded CD Lost Paradise. Now they're in the act of recording new album.
